Edilson Elio Barbosa, a renowned Brazilian fine arts painter, is known for his works that encompass realistic paintings in contemporary figurative art and classical techniques, exploring themes such as landscapes, still lifes, Arab scenes, and portraits. His creations have been exhibited internationally, including exhibitions in London, Paris, New York, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Vienna. Recognized with the Italian Academy Award and the International Master Artists Award in 2014, in the United States, Edilson brings the essence of his perspective and refined technique to his canvases, inviting the viewer to explore new artistic realms.
Edilson served as president of the National Academy of Fine Arts from 2001 to 2021 and is a member of the Italian Academy of Modern Art (AIAM), the French Academy of Fine Arts (MOA), the Spanish Federation, and the Brazilian Academy of Fine Arts, consolidating his prominent role on the national and international art scene.
